FC Köln's goal, but this time, it was a penalty shootout. With 4 minutes left in the first half, Hoffenheim's striker, Christian Eberle, missed a fantastic chance to win the match, but he did not give up and converted the penalty to level the scoreline at 1-1.
In the second half, Hoffenheim continued to dominate the game and were able to secure the victory. The match went into extra-time, where Hoffenheim had a 100% chance to win the match. But unfortunately, 1. FC Köln's goalkeeper, Niklas Sturlson, saved all three saves made by Hoffenheim's defenders. The match ended in a 1-1 draw, with Hoffenheim drawing the points against 1. FC Köln.
Overall, it was a well-played and exciting match that saw both sides struggle for control of the game. While Hoffenheim struggled to find the back of the net, 1. FC Köln proved to be a strong team that could hold their own.
