Borussia Dortmund and Eintracht Frankfurt have both managed to maintain their positions in the Bundesliga standings after their respective matches on Sunday.
Borussia Dortmund defeated Eintracht Frankfurt 2-1, thanks to an impressive performance from Jadon Sancho who scored his second goal of the season in the 67th minute. Sancho has been one of Dortmund's most consistent strikers this season, scoring nine goals so far, including three hat-tricks.
Sancho is not the only player to have contributed to Dortmund's success though, as Borussia Dortmund's other top scorer, Erling Haaland, also scored two goals in the match. The duo have combined for five goals already this season, making them one of the best partnerships in Europe.
However, it was not just the attacking trio that had made Dortmund successful this weekend. A number of other players have also played crucial roles, including Marco Reus, who scored his first goal since returning from injury in the 59th minute, and Kai Havertz, who netted his first goal since February.
Despite being down by one at halftime, Dortmund fought back and eventually won the match, thanks to a late equalizer from Adil Rami. The German side will now look to build on their win against Eintracht Frankfurt and continue their strong run in the league.
In terms of the Bundesliga standings, Dortmund remains in third place with 48 points, while Eintracht Frankfurt sit in fourth with 46 points. Both teams face tough fixtures ahead, but it looks like Dortmund will be looking to bounce back from their loss against Bayern Munich next week.
