The Monégasque side Monaco have taken their first step towards securing a place in the Europa League this season by defeating Reims in Ligue 1 Round 9.
After a disappointing start to the campaign, Monaco have been able to bounce back and take the lead on the scoreboard after the first half against the French club.
Ben Yedder has scored the opening goal for Monaco in the second half, scoring from the penalty spot after being fouled by his opponent.
Frédéric also scored the second goal for Monaco, following a brilliant pass from the goalkeeper, before he was shown a yellow card.
Despite the defeat, Monaco continue to show great attacking ability and will be hoping that they can keep up their good form this season and progress further into the competition.
